History

The park, located north of town, was built in the early 1950’s. Residents constructed the baseball field which has been use by independent adult leagues, the high school, pony leagues and local church leagues. In 1976 a pavilion was constructed, an additional pavilion & playground equipment were added later with the generous help of Sidney State Bank & memorial donations. With the interest in recent years for another independent men’s baseball league, the field was restored by Adam Willmore. You can catch a Sunday afternoon game each week by one of the two teams that play there.
